Finding Your Size

Your size will vary depending on the style and fabric of each garment.

Some items are loose and oversized, while others are tight and fitted.

Different fabrics will make clothes fit differently too. A lightweight denim pant will stretch and drape differently to a mid-weight corduroy pant.

It is best to check the Sizing & Fit Guide for each garment to determine your size.

From our Spring/Summer 2022 collection onwards, we moved from numerical to alphabetical sizing to make things easier for our customers to understand.

The equivalent sizes are:

00 = XS

0 = S

1 = M

2 = L

3 = XL

4 = 2XL

5 = 3XL

Reading The Sizing & Fit Guide

Every product will have a tab labelled "Sizing & Fit". Open this tab, and you will find detailed information on the fit of the garment (whether it is fitted, true to size, or oversized), as well as its measurements.

If a model is wearing the garment, we will also include their height and what size they are wearing.

You can use this information to determine your size in that garment.

You can use a tape measure to measure your body, and then compare that to the measurement chart for each garment.

Your key areas to measure will be your bust, waist, hips and inseam. But you’ll also want to measure your “natural waist”, or the slimmest part of your torso, and the fullest part of your legs and bust. If you plan on wearing collared shirts and blouses, add neck size and sleeve length to this list as well.

To get started, all you need is a soft tape measure and a notepad and pencil to jot the measurements down as you go.

You can also measure a garment in your closet that fits well and is a similar style. For example, if your favourite dress at home has a bust of 110cm, you can look for dresses on our website with a similar bust measurement.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Always choose the larger size if your measurements come between two sizes.

  • If buying a top, measure your Bust & Natural Waist

  • When buying pants, measure your Natural Waist, Hips & Inseam

  • When buying a dress, measure your Bust, Natural Waist & Hips

  • How to measure dress length

Dresses come in all kinds of lengths, however, from mini dresses and above knee dresses to below the knee, mid-calf, ballerina, ankle and floor length dresses. If you were measuring a mini dress that has sleeves you would start with the shoulder near the side of your neck and measure to mid-thigh. As a guide…

  • Mini – measure to mid-thigh
  • Above the knee – measure to a few inches above the knee
  • Knee – measure to the knee, grazing the top of the knee
  • Below knee – measure to a couple of inches below the knee
  • Mid-calf – measure to the middle of your calf
  • Below mid-calf – measure to a few inches below your calf
  • Ballerina – measure to a couple of inches above your ankle
  • Ankle – measure to your ankle
  • Floor length – measure to your toes

How & where to measure yourself

To help choose the right size, you will need to measure your bust, waist, hips and inseam.

Use a tape measure over your underwear or form fitting clothing and compare your body measurements to those on our size chart, choosing the size that closest matches your measurements.

If you don't have a dress makers measuring tape (one that's soft and hugs your body), you can use a piece of string to place around your body, mark the length, then spread the string out on a long ruler.

The chart here indicates where to measure the body.

If you have broad shoulders this might be another good point to measure.

How to measure a garment

Note: Measurements provided are of the product when laid flat, not body measurements.

HOW TO MEASURE A TOP:

  1. Bust is measured along line A, 2.5cm down from the underarm point.
  2. Shoulder is measured along line B, from shoulder tip to shoulder tip.
  3. Sleeve Length is measured from point C to D.
  4. Length is measured along line E, from the high shoulder point right next to the neckline, down to the bottom hem of the top.
  5. Waist is measured along line F, along the narrowest part of the top, or roughly half way between the bust and hem lines.
  6. Hem is measured along line G, the bottom edge of the top.
  7. Sleeve hem is measured along line H, along the bottom of the sleeve opening

HOW TO MEASURE PANTS

  1. Waist is measured along line A.
  2. Hips are measured along line B
  3. Hem/leg opening is measured along line C
  4. Inseam is measured along line D from the crotch seam or bottom of the zipper to the bottom of the leg.
  5. Rise (crotch length) is measured along line E. Arrange the product and flatten so the measurement can be taken from where line E meets with the inner pant leg seams.
