Care: Spring Cotton Cord Fabric SS23/24

You've chosen a pair of women's corduroy pants that combine style and comfort. To keep them looking fresh and comfortable, please follow these care instructions:

1. Machine Washing:

  • Turn the Peggy pants inside out to protect the corduroy surface.
  • Use a gentle cycle with cold water (30°C or below) to maintain colour vibrancy and fabric integrity.
  • Choose a mild detergent to prevent any damage to the delicate fabric.
  • Avoid overloading the washing machine to prevent excessive friction.


2. Hand Washing (Preferred):

  • Fill a basin or sink with cold water.
  • Add a small amount of mild detergent and mix it thoroughly.
  • Submerge the Peggy pants in the soapy water and gently agitate for a few minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water until all detergent is removed.
  • Press the water out of the pants gently, avoiding wringing or twisting.


3. Drying:

  • Lay the pants flat on a clean towel or drying rack to air dry.
  • Reshape them back to their original form while they are still damp.
  • Avoid hanging them by the waistband, as this can cause stretching.
  • Keep them out of direct sunlight to prevent colour fading.
  • Avoid using a tumble dryer, as it may damage the corduroy texture.


4. Ironing:

  • Iron the pants inside out on a low to medium heat setting (around 110-150°C) to preserve the corduroy texture.
  • Use a pressing cloth or a thin cotton fabric to protect the corduroy from direct heat.
  • Be cautious not to apply excessive heat, as it may flatten the corduroy ridges.

 


6. Stains:

  • Address any stains promptly by blotting, not rubbing, with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Consult a professional cleaner for stubborn or set-in stains.


7. Professional Cleaning:

If necessary, seek professional dry cleaning services experienced with delicate fabrics.
